7 Bann Wheelers set new PB's for Ballybogey 25

12th June 2007

The recent spell of good weather broke on tuesday, just in time for the 25 mile time trial on the Ballybogey-Coleraine road. However those club members who braved the showers all performed well and were rewarded with a spate of PB's. John Madden, Nigel Quigley and Kay Hack all set PB's, which was even more impressive as all three riders had taken part in the gruelling Cycling Ulster Road Race championships on the previous Sunday. John was first man home in 55:03, followed by Nigel Quigley in 1:00:22, whilst Kay was first lady in 1:06:22.

Supervet Sam Greer continues to improve with a PB of 1:10:11, a minute and a half quicker than his last run out on the course. Dominic Drum and Russel Callaghan also stormed around the course in 1:00:56 and 1:01:57 respectively and both riders must be looking to break the hour before the end of the season.

Club newcomer Sean Kealey rode the 10 mile time trial in 25:59.

The club would like to thank David Laverty for time keeping. Next weeks event is the 24 mile Road Race on the 3 Oaks hilly circuit, Mark Smyth, Jim Canning and Sam Greer to marshall.
